It is a problem when so many people see faith as a belief in God and not TRUSTING in God. A lot of people don’t understand how necessary it is to trust Him.

The terror of the belief without the trust can warp your entire world into what can seem like the worst nightmare imaginable.

Can you wrestle with God and win? Not unless He lets you. Can you somehow (God forbid) make Him submissive to YOUR will. It can be a scary thing to be in the hands of God, and nobody will ever have the strength to deliver you from those hands. This is why you have no choice but to trust Him.

So why should you trust in Jesus Christ? Because God is not like a mortal who has cause to lie, and He has said He is trustworthy. This is the only reason you really need. But if you needed more, God has it. He lived and lives, suffered and died for us. He gave us life and even more than that, He offers Himself to us with life in Christ to those who will accept it.

Take heart and be strong: God is love itself. Trust in God’s love. The world may not love you, but Jesus Christ does.
