Jesus Christ calls us all to experience His mercy. As the need for His mercy increases, it is always found to be there because it is unfathomable and boundless. This even in judgment and wrath.

God is the Divine Mercy seen in Jesus Christ and His willingness to die so that we could live with Him. Not only did God give us life, but He also died for us – even though we are sinners and His enemies. His Passion in suffering showed us that God is willing to bear our burdens and heal us.

Not only this but He also calls us to be merciful to each other. We should bear with one another and not be divided. Rather be of the same mind in Christ, looking out for each other in love.

This is my challenge for you today: try to remember the last time someone wronged you and you didn’t forgive it right away. Maybe you responded with a rude comment in return or did something to get revenge. Maybe you hate this person for the wrong they did you. I challenge you to take this matter before God and tell Him you forgive this person. If you feel like you cannot forgive this person, whatever it is, I challenge you to ask God to forgive them every day until you can. Be merciful, even if your heart says they don’t deserve it.

Again, I ask you to consider the forgiveness and mercy of Christ, which every one of us needs. If we need mercy, then we should also extend it to others.
